VocabSeek — Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using VocabSeek, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension.

2. Description of Service

VocabSeek is a browser extension and progressive web app (PWA) for language learning. It provides text translation, vocabulary flashcards, text-to-speech, and YouTube subtitle vocabulary extraction.

3. Free and Pro Plans

• Free: Includes Google Translate, flashcard storage, cloud sync, TTS, and export features at no cost.
• Pro: A paid monthly subscription ($5 USD/month) that adds AI-powered translation, example sentence generation, YouTube vocabulary extraction, and additional features.

4. Subscription and Billing

• Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• No annual plans are offered.

5. Refund Policy

• Since VocabSeek offers a fully functional free version, you can evaluate the product before subscribing to Pro.
• If you are unsatisfied with Pro, you may cancel your subscription at any time — you will retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period.

6. User Accounts

• Google sign-in is optional but required for cloud sync and Pro activation.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• License keys are for personal use and should not be shared.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the extension for commercial purposes.
• Use the service to violate any applicable laws.
• Abuse API endpoints or attempt to circumvent usage limits.

8. Third-Party Services

VocabSeek integrates with third-party services including Google Translate, OpenAI, Firebase, and various TTS providers. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms.

9. Disclaimer

VocabSeek is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Translation accuracy depends on the underlying AI models and may not always be correct.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
